30 Million Safe Man-Hours: The Standard Behind the Milestone
NCC Catering has contributed to the achievement of 30 million safe man-hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI) on the Offshore Hail & Ghasha Project (PKG-1) – Offshore Facilities, delivered by the NPCC–SAIPEM Joint Venture.
The project also reflects the integrated capabilities of NCC Holding, with sister company NIGM participating as a subcontractor alongside NCC Catering.
Beyond this project milestone, NCC Catering has recorded 7 million safe man-hours without LTI year-to-date across its operations and projects. This wider performance reflects the consistency of the HSE standards applied across different sites, operating environments, and
service requirements.
Reaching this level of performance requires more than meeting safety procedures. It depends on maintaining the same standards throughout the full project lifecycle, from mobilization and daily operations to supervision, service delivery, maintenance, and project completion.
In catering operations, this means continuously managing risks associated with hot equipment and surfaces, machinery, wet working areas, manual handling, cleaning chemicals, transportation, maintenance activities, and high-volume service environments.
A strong HSE performance is therefore built before an incident occurs: through hazard identification, risk assessment, effective controls, training, inspections, supervision, reporting, and timely corrective action.
For Mr. Mahinder, Director of QHSE at NCC Holding, the milestone reflects the consistency behind both safety and operational delivery:
